Blow! A mist of water is produced during exhaling. Our resident Orcas generally breathe 3 or 4 times, then dive for 3 or four minutes. Transient orcas dive for longer periods, up to ten minutes.
Orca breaching is a fairly common site. Breaching may occur during play, while foraging or when disturbed.
